Online counseling: An exploratory survey of Italian psychologists’ attitudes towards new ways of interactionFootnote†† Knowledge obtained from this study may contribute to understand how Italian psychologists see and deal with online counseling. Results lead to reflect on important implications of online modalities in consulting and clinical psychology and may suggest future directions for research on the subject. Moreover, this paper may represent a kind of conceptual map about online counseling because it contains the main issues highlighted in the literature, thus providing a theoretical basis to investigate the topic. Finally, further step to improve research and practice are recommended.
