• We assume a small electrochemical signal, if any from antibody bound antigen. In the first place the diffusion coefficient will be much smaller for the complex than the antigen. Secondly once the molecule arrives at the electrode surface a rotational diffusion must occur so that the electrochemically active portion of the antigen molecule is at the interface.
