  • When the essay review was already finished by the author, the ISCHE received the sad news that Professor Czeslaw Majorek (Krakow, Poland), who served several years as a member of ISCHE's executive committee, passed away on September 29 2002. In Leuven/ Kortrijk, at the XXth ISCHE-Conference (1998), he was honoured for being the only member that has attended all the yearly conferences. It is self-evident that this essay is also dedicated to his memory.
