  • Oximes were generally prepared in excellent yields from the corresponding carbonyl compounds by treatment with hydroxylamine hydrochloride (1.2 equiv) and pyridine (2 equiv) in refluxing ethanol. The E/Z isomers of oximes were not separated unless stated .
