• Trialkyltin nitrates containing unidentate nitrate group have absorptions at 1450, 1300 and 1020 cm−1 which can be assigned to the stretching vibrations of NO2 and O[sbnd]N linkage.2,5 It seems reasonable, therefore, that the absorptions of trialkyltin nitrites are observed at 1430 and 1040 cm−1
