- The exact nature and form of the sculpture originally adorning the Fonthill Organ has yet to be discovered; but it constituted a dominant and massy aspect of the design. It is very much hoped that the lost sculpture can be located and copies made. Using evidence, later aluded to, of architectural proportion, the sculptural contribution to the organ might have added a further 6‐feet in height. No part of the original sculpture has yet been identified and no modern replacements‐at this stage necessarily conjectural—have been made.
