  • During a leave of absence in America, Dr. Hargrove has commanded the friendship and respect of a good many of ‐us who ordinarily are separated from him geographically by about the length of the earth's diameter. The success of his method of teaching would seem to be evident from the careers of a number of Chinese students, now honor men in American universities, who received their start in English under him.
