  • From the melt, when the crystallization into the C1 form begins, cooling is stopped and the sample crystallizes slowly at constant temperature. In such a way all the sample can be obtained in the C1 form. In absence of C2 seeds, C1 is stable and can be superheated to its melting point. It is then possible to evaluate the enthalpy of transition of the metastable C1 → I transition
