- In our experience most victims terminate contact after a few interviews. In the first 12 months of our service, a quarter did not keep the appointment. Of those who did, a half were seen twice or less, a quarter were seen between three and five times, and a quarter were seen for more than five interviews.

- The Victorian Criminal Injuries Compensation Act ( 1972 ) allows for compensation to victims of sexual assault. However, Section 14 (2) (c) specifically excludes those victims who, at the time of the offence, were members of the offender's household, thus denying compensation to nearly all cases of incest and sexual assault by a husband or de facto husband.
