  • The AIWW is now called the Australian Institute of Welfare and Community Workers. At the period of data collection there were a number of courses offered at certificate level which were also accredited by the Institute. A sample of these was contacted but it was decided to concentrate the study on the higher level courses since during this period it was also rumoured that all certificate courses would be upgraded to Associate Diploma level in the near future.
  • Information from these courses is therefore not included in this study.
