• Benzyl-2, 3, 5-tri-O-benzyl-1, 4-dithio-D-ribofuranoside exhibited a wide NOE on the H2, and H5' signals on irradiation of H3 of the sugar ring but no enhancement of H4 This result clearly shows that H2, H5, H5, and H3 are on the same side of the sugar plane establishing thereby D-ribose structure.
