- The data in this article was collected 1986/87 and the article written shortly after. Since then there have been various changes in the Australian book trade with personnel changing companies, publishing companies being reorganised, and so on. But the divisions within the industry outlined here have remained remarkably constant. All interviews were conducted by the author between 1986/1987.
