Data collection, solution and refinement: ω-2θ, solved by direct methods (SIR88) with subsequent Fourier recycling. C10H10N4O6Ni, (M = 340.91), orthorhombic, space group Cmcm, a = 7.004(2)Å, b = 12.748(2)Å, c= 13.665(2)Å, V=1220.1(3)Å3Z = 4, ρcalcd = 1.856 g/cm3, μ = 26.8cm−1, 2θ range 6–120.1°, F(000) = 696. 548 unique reactions, and 336 assumed as observed with I = 3G(I). Refinement of 66 variables with anisotropic thermal parameters for all non-hydrogen atoms gave R = 0.044, Rw = 0.032 and S = 1.83 with w = s2(F0).
