  • To represent the cartographic community in the United Kingdom in the international sphere. In doing this it will give advice to the Royal Society with particular reference to the policy and activities of the International Cartographic Association.
  • To articulate and voice the views of the cartographic community within the United Kingdom and to ensure that cartography continues to flourish there.
