Marta Zarzycka Dr. Marta Zarzycka is an Assistant Professor in the Gender Studies Department, Utrecht University. She teaches and publishes in the field of visual studies and feminist theory. In her current research she focuses on the role of digital photography in shaping collective Western consciousness through its representation of trauma and atrocity. She has recently co-edited a volume titled Carnal Aesthetics: Transgressive Imagery and Feminist Politics (I.B. Tauris, 2012).
