Ian Ewart IAN EWART IS A RESEARCH FELLOW IN THE SCHOOL OF CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT AND ENGINEERING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF READING. AFTER A CAREER IN ENGINEERING, HE SWITCHED TO ANTHROPOLOGY TO PURSUE INTERESTS IN MATERIAL CULTURE STUDIES. HE GRADUATED WITH A DPhil FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD WITH A THESIS ON THE ANTHROPOLOGY OF ENGINEERING.
