About this journal

Aims and scope

Reviews in Anthropology is journal devoted to reviews of recently published books and anthropological research. The journal has expanded its scope to include reviews of books published outside of the global North and in languages other than English. The Journal welcomes both short, focused reviews of a single book or publication and longer contributions that are in-depth, thematic reviews covering more than one book, all related and in which combinations can illuminate some theoretical perspective, idea and region. There are possibilities of having special issues focused on specialized topics and cultural regions. Suggestions for thematic, special issues should be submitted to the Co-Editors for consideration.

Peer Review Policy:

All review articles in this journal are invited and have undergone editorial screening and peer review by two referees.

Publication office: Taylor & Francis, Inc., 530 Walnut Street, Suite 850, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
