Journal of Educational and Psychological Consultation Article of the Year Award

Each Associate Editor and the Editor can nominate one article they action edited during the year for consideration. The articles are sent to the JEPC Editorial Board and Advisory Board for review, along with criteria for consideration. Voters indicate their first choice for article of the year. Votes are tallied to determine article of the year. In case of a tie, the Associate Editors and the Editor will select one article of the year and one honorable mention.

Winners are recognized at the JEPC Editorial Board meeting at the annual National Association of School Psychologists Convention.

Criteria for consideration include: Does the article advance or expand the scientific understanding of consultation? Does the article guide future directions for consultation practice? Does the article guide future directions for consultation research? For empirical articles, does the article apply innovative methods to study consultation, or established methods in such a way as to provide new insights on the topic? For empirical articles, does the study demonstrate methodological rigor? For conceptual articles, does the article apply innovative theories or constructs to understand consultation, or use established theories or constructs that provide new insights on the topic?
