About this journal
Aims and scope
This journal has ceased (2020).
A home for scientifically sound, fully open access and peer-reviewed research, Cogent Chemistry, part of the Taylor & Francis Group, offers authors a fast and affordable option for the publication of their work. The journal is broad in scope, publishing across all major branches of chemistry, from medicinal to materials and analytical to organic, and also welcomes negative results with sound hypotheses and methodology, and replication studies.
Led by the Editor-in-Chief, our expert international editorial board evaluate manuscripts based on scientific validity, methodological soundness and research integrity rather than the impact. Article-level metrics allow the research to be assessed on its own merit.
With open access publishing, research is available to everyone, anywhere, any time, contributing to the global development of research topics at the intersection with other communities such as environmental science, physics, food and agriculture, and engineering. Cogent Chemistry is a fully peer-reviewed, open access journal with a mission to help researchers communicate with a global audience and interact with expert scientists from across the chemistry community and beyond.
