About this journal

Aims and scope

Konsthistorisk tidskrift/Journal of Art History was founded in 1932 by Konsthistoriska sällskapet/The Society of Art Historians in Stockholm, Sweden.

As the leading peer-reviewed journal of art history in the Nordic countries, the journal welcomes original research from all fields of art history, architecture, design and visual culture covering a broad variety of methodological and theoretical approaches. The journal also publishes reviews of books and larger exhibitions and accepts submissions written in the Scandinavian languages as well as in French, German and English.

All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is double anonymized.

European and international art historians, and persons with an interest in art.
