Urban Planning and Design Division of JAABE considers a diverse range of research on historical and modern cities as well as towns and villages. This includes work on not only townscape, urban conservation, disaster and crime prevention as physical planning and design, but also community development and management, people's lifestyles, citizen literacy and citizen participation as non-physical matters.Research reports can cover the development of research and analytical methods, and the evaluation of urban and regional environments from the viewpoints of the implementation of urban planning and design, and landscape and environmental aspects.
