She is an active staff physician at Women's College Hospital in Toronto. She is an Educator Researcher at the Wilson Centre for Research in Education (University Health Network) and Education Scientist at the Centre for Ambulatory Care (Women's College Hospital) at the University of Toronto. Her areas of interest include primary care education, outcomes-based education and the history of medical education. Her research focuses on critical discourse analysis of various aspects of health professions education.

Brian David HodgesThe Wilson Centre;Department of Psychiatry;University Health Network, UHN/University of Toronto, all at the University of Toronto, Canada; BRIAN DAVID HODGES, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Education (OISE/UT) at the University of Toronto, the Richard and Elizabeth Currie Chair in Health Professions Education Research at the Wilson Centre for Research in Education (University Health Network/University of Toronto) and Vice President Education at the University Health Network (Toronto General, Toronto Western, Princess Margaret and Toronto Rehab Hospitals). He leads the AMS Phoenix Project: A Call to Caring, an initiative to rebalance the technical and compassionate dimensions of health care. His research focuses on using Foucauldian-inspired discourse analysis to study various aspects of health professional education and practice: competence, assessment, professionalism and globalization.
