Protective Effect of Indian Herbs and Physical Exercise on Osteoporosis: A Review

ABSTRACT

Osteoporosis means low bone mass with higher chances of bone fracture risk. There is imbalance between bone formation and bone resorption process due to deficiency of oestrogen hormone, ageing and oxidative stress. Herbs and physical exercise both play an important role in the prevention of osteoporosis. This narrative review paper compiles the role of physical activities and Indian herbs on the molecular pathway of osteoporosis that how these are beneficial in prevention and management of osteoporosis. It can also give further lead to different researches on use of different herbs and physical activities.
