William Fox graduated from the University of Virginia with a PhD in Language Education in Multilingual Contexts in 2022. He has worked alongside multilingual learners (from elementary to adults) for more than a decade. His research focuses on preparing ESL teachers to engage in advocacy for/with multilingual learners—which has led to the development of two simulated learning scenarios that are incorporated in UVa’s ESL teacher training program. He currently works as an Evaluation Specialist in the School of Language Studies at the U.S. Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute.
