Theo Van Leeuwen

Theo van Leeuwen is Director of Studies and Principal Lecturer in Communication Theory at the School of Media of the London College of Printing. He is co‐author of Reading Images and The Media Interview: Confession, Contest and Conversation and a founding editor of the journal Social Semiotics.

Staffan Selander

Staffan Selander is Associate Professor of Education in the Department of Education, Uppsala University, Box 2109, S‐750 02 Uppsala, Sweden. He is also head of the Institute for Pedagogic Text Research at the University of Härnösand, Sweden and founder of the Swedish journal on pedagogic text research, SPOV‐Studier av den pedagogiska väven. His research interests centre on curriculum theory, texts and educational media and professionalization. He is the author of several books in Swedish.
