Sociology of Education
Section Editor(s): Reza Gholami (University of Birmingham, UK)
The sociology of education section seeks rigorous papers from authors working in all areas of the field. In addition, the section is interested in contributions that explore long-standing educational questions and issues through fresh and innovative sociological methodologies and analyses. Papers that seek to develop global and/or transnational approaches with societal and educational implications are particularly welcomed. Additionally, authors are encouraged to keep in mind the important link between education theory, policy and practice, and where possible, either report on how their research has been applied in non-academic contexts or signal how it could be.
