Crusades Journal Highlights
Crusades was launched in 2002. Recently the journal moved to an online as well as a paper format. This digitization process provided a nice prompt to look through these volumes and to select a few articles that we think showcase what the journal looks to achieve. Taylor and Francis have kindly made these freely available for a six-month period from April to September 2024. These papers give some sense of the range of topics we cover. They include crusading in its full geographical and chronological senses, including down to the modern period, the Frankish presence in the Eastern Mediterranean, Muslim-Frankish relations, primary source editions, and archaeology. We also include here articles showing the crusades impacting upon cultural and environmental issues too. We very much hope you enjoy these papers – and that this brief taste encourages you to delve into the many other excellent articles in our full collection. A further 10 papers will be available at the end of the year.
