Autonomous and Networked Technologies
Welcome to our Article Collection from the 2022 volume published in Systems Science & Control Engineering, which is dedicated to "Autonomous and Networked Technologies". In a nutshell, we're diving into how machines can operate on their own and communicate with each other to create smarter systems.
Imagine robots that can make decisions based on the information they get from other devices, or cars that talk to each other to prevent accidents. This is the world of autonomous and networked technologies. It's where machines become smarter by working together, sharing data, and adapting to new information. As with any new technologies, there are hurdles to cross. How do we ensure these systems are safe? What happens when there's a glitch in the network? And, importantly, what does this mean for us, the people using them? This Article Collection, which consists of 10 papers, aims to answer these questions, offering insights from active researchers in both academy and industry.
The merging of autonomous and networked tech is shaping our future, and it's crucial we understand and engage with it. We hope this Article Collection provides a clear, informative, and engaging look into this exciting field.
