Modelling and Simulations
Modelling and simulations have long been an important technique for the research and design of advanced materials. With the rapid development of computational materials science and computer science, modelling and simulations have recently experienced remarkable advances. It becomes technically feasible to model and simulate materials systems at much greater time and length scales with unprecedentedly high accuracy and reliability, which serve as an independent research paradigm parallel to experiments. In this Article Collection, we highlight interesting papers in Materials Research Letters that have developed new methods for modelling and simulations or have employed modelling and simulations to achieve novel insights into technologically important materials.
